NOTICE OF THE APPLICATION FOR ENVIRONMENTAL AUTHORISATION FOR AND WATERUSE LICENCE APPLICATION FOR UKUPHA FARMING (PTY) (LTD): THE PROPOSED EXPANSION OF BROILER HOUSES AND CONSTRUCTION OF TWO RESERVIORS

 

This notice gives notice to potential Interested and Affected Parties (“I&APs”) about where information can be obtained in respect of the application for environmental authorisation, as well as the opportunity I&APs have to comment on the draft Basic Assessment Report (“BAR”) and Water Use Licence Application (“WULA”).

 

Comment period

The public participation period will run for 30 days from 22nd of October 2021 to 23rd of November 2021. Provide comments to Shangoni (details provided below) by no later than 23rd of November 2021. You may register as an I&AP. To register as an I&AP of this project, or to obtain more information or submit comments, please request a Registration form from Shangoni and return it together with any comments to Shangoni at the details provided below.

 

Availability of the draft BAR and WULA technical support documents 

The draft BAR and WULA Technical Report will be made available to the public for review for a period of 30 days from 22nd of October 2021 to 23rd of November 2021 at the following viewing station: On the Shangoni’s website (www.shangoni.co.za) and Ukupha’s main entrance at reception.
